Museum of Somerset reopens in Taunton

Yorkshire regiment museum relaunches
Doncaster Council has announced the relaunch of the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (KOYLI) Museum, following the completion of a £230,000 overhaul of the attraction.
The Heritage Lottery Fund contributed £204,000 towards the scheme, with donations from a number of sources such as KOYLI trustees and Friends of Doncaster Museums.

Cardigan Castle secures £4.5m funding

Exeter's Royal Albert museum to open in December
The Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) in Exeter is to reopen on 15 December following the completion of a £24m redevelopment of the attraction.

'Substantial' grant for Great Yarmouth theatre
English Heritage has announced a "substantial" grant worth £250,000 towards efforts to restore the historic St George's Theatre building in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
The former Chapel of St George property is currently undergoing a major programme of work to repair and convert it into a new arts venue as part of a £9.3m regeneration project.

Trust welcomes PM's planning assurances
The National Trust (NT) has welcomed assurances from the Prime Minister that the UK's planning system should continue to act in the public's interest.

ACE takes on museums and libraries role

HLF to make 'urgent acquisitions' easier
Applicants bidding for Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) support for "urgent acquisitions" have been given a boost after the funding agency announced a change to its application criteria.
