Isle of Man plans hotel and casino complex
Firms interested in working on the development of a new five-star hotel and casino complex on the Isle of Man (IoM) have been invited to come forward by the island's government.
It follows the recent announcement that a second casino licence had been granted and aims to help the IoM government diversify the island's economy, while meeting market demand.

Tayto Park adds new high ropes course
Tayto Park, a tourist attraction located in County Meath, Ireland, has added a new Sky Trail Voyager high ropes course to its offer, which has been installed by Innovative Leisure.

Scottish team to document Chinese site
A team of experts from Scotland has been appointed to digitally document the history of the Eastern Qing Tombs in China, the resting place of some of the country's iconic emperors.
The delegation will travel to the Chinese heritage site next year as part of Scottish 10, a joint venture between Historic Scotland and Glasgow School of Art.

New Year start for Swansea gallery project
Swansea's Glynn Vivian Art Gallery is to close to the public from 30 October ahead of the start of a major £6m redevelopment and extension of the South Wales cultural attraction.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum launches
The Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum has been unveiled at the Thal birthplace of the former actor and current state governor of California, US, near Graz, Austria.
According to the BBC, the attraction contains exhibits such as Schwarzenegger's childhood bed; a motorbike from one his Terminator films; and some of his first dumb-bells.

A special event has taken place to celebrate the reopening of Colwyn Bay's new-look Theatr Colwyn, following the completion of a £738,000 front-of-house refurbishment project.

San Francisco museum unveils new brand
The Asian Art Museum (AAM) in San Francisco, US, has announced the launch of its new brand, which will be implemented in phases and aims to "engage a broader audience".

ACW announces Power of the Flame launch

J P Morgan announces new arts investment

£1.9m for Heart of Teesdale proposals

£1.58m grant for Pontmorlais regeneration plans
The Pontmorlais area of Merthyr Tydfil is to benefit from regeneration work after receiving £1.58m from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) through the Townscape Heritage Initiative.
It is expected the investment will go towards the restoration of 15 historic buildings, with the scheme to be led by Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council.

Scottish arts group 'ceases trading'
The Dumfries and Galloway region's independent arts organisation, dgArts, has announced that it has "ceased trading" due to ongoing financial difficulties.
