USD3.1bn theme park planned for Hubei, China
Los Angeles, US-based Ikonic Entertainment Group has secured a deal with investment company Taichi Lake Group to design and develop a Tai Chi and Kung Fu-themed visitor attraction complex in Hubei, China.

Ikonic will provide master planning, concept creation, schematic design and construction oversight services for the US$3.1bn (2.4bn euro, £2bn) project, which is touted as the largest theme park ever to open in China. ....

Cartoon Network to open more branded attractions in Asia
Cartoon Network Enterprises, part of the Turner Entertainment group, is to open more branded visitor attractions across Asia Pacific.

Ashmolean branch for Worcestershire village?
Worcestershire County Council (WCC) has pledged £200,000 to support a project that will bring Oxford's world-renowned Ashmolean Museum to the village of Broadway.

The National Pinball Museum (NPM) is to launch its new Baltimore home in Maryland, US, on 14 January after relocating from its Georgetown Park site in Washington DC.

Art Fund reports record membership levels
The Art Fund, which invested more than £4.4m to support the purchase of nearly 150 works of art last year, has reported a record number of new members signing up in 2011.

More than 260 accredited museums and galleries across Scotland are in line to benefit from support totalling in excess of £1m from the Scottish Government's 2012-13 draft budget.
