RSC to unveil major new touring partnership
The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has announced a major new touring and education partnership involving five leading regional theatres, which will run between 2012 and 2015.
Hull Truck Theatre Company; Newcastle Theatre Royal; Hall for Cornwall; Southampton's Nuffield Theatre; and York Theatre Royal will partner with the RSC from April this year.

£25m Arun 'leisure blueprint' to be considered
Senior members of Arun District Council (ADC) will consider a £25m "blueprint" for the future leisure and cultural facilities and services at a meeting due to be held on 16 January.
The local authority's cabinet are to be presented with the strategy - Planning for Culture and Leisure in Arun to 2028 - by consultants Colliers International.

RBC calls for Magna Carta project support
Runnymede Borough Council (RBC) has met with local residents and groups to discuss a proposed project that would mark the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta.

Dreamland CPO public inquiry commences
A public inquiry into Thanet District Council's (TDC) bid to acquire Margate's Dreamland site through the use of a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) has commenced.

Varadkar upbeat after Irish visitor numbers fall
Irish tourism minister Leo Varadkar has underlined the importance of focusing on attracting more business for Ireland, following the publication of the latest visitor number figures.

2012 Games to boost sports gambling sector
Experts from Sheffield Hallam University's Sports Industry Research Centre (SIRC) have predicted the 2012 Games will help drive growth in the sports gambling sector by 2015.
