Piece Hall revamp plans move forward

WhiteWater nets US$22m South Korea deal

Public reopening for steamship attraction
One of the world's oldest complete steamships is to reopen to the public in London after it was awarded a confirmed grant worth nearly £1m by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).
SS Robin is located at a purpose-built pontoon at Royal Victoria Docks following a three-year restoration programme. A visitor centre will also be housed within the pontoon.

Southampton waterfront museum site 'withdrawn'
Associated British Ports (ABP) has revealed it is currently "unable" to provide a long-term lease for the Southampton waterfront site earmarked for a new £8m transport museum.
The Aeronautica development was to be located in the ABP-owned Southampton Docks, but it has now been reported that Red Funnel ferry operations could move to the site instead.

Rank Group eyes Gala Coral acquisition
Rank Group, the UK-based operator of Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casinos, has revealed that it has held discussions over the potential acquisition of its rival, Gala Coral Group.

DfT to mull Liverpool cruise terminal bid
The government is to seek independent advice on a "more appropriate" figure to be paid by Liverpool in its bid to secure consent for cruise liner operators to start and finish in the city.

Utah aquarium appoints firms for US$18m project
Beecher Walker Architects and Layton Construction have been selected by the Living Planet Aquarium board of trustees to build a new home for the attraction in Draper City, Utah, US.
The US$18m (£11.4m, EUR13.7m) aquarium building is to be located off Interstate 15 and establish a new home for the attraction, which first opened at The Gateway in 2004.

Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) has revealed the opening dates for three museums that form part of the Saadiyat Cultural District in the United Arab Emirates.

Green light for Pontcysyllte centre plans
