Private equity firm Apollo to acquire Great Wolf Resorts
Private equity investor Apollo Global Management (AGM) is set to acquire US waterpark operator Great Wolf Resorts.
The deal will see AGM pay US$5 for each Great Wolf share as well as take on the attraction operator's outstanding debt - making the deal worth around US703m (539m euro, 448m).

ACE announces further Renaissance details
Further details of Arts Council England's (ACE) Renaissance National programmes, which are designed to support regional museums throughout England, have been announced.

Study: West End theatres set for Olympic boost
A new study carried out by UK theatre website whatsonstage.com has found that London's West End theatres could stand to benefit from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Last December, composer Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber - whose Really Useful Group owns seven venues - expressed concern for the capital's arts sector in an interview with the BBC.

£400k Paisley arts centre overhaul starts
Renfrewshire Council has announced the start of extensive renovation work at an arts venue in Paisley, which will cost £400,000 and is expected to take nine months to complete.

Travelodge urges support for tourism sector
Travelodge chief executive Guy Parsons has called on MPs representing the 50 constituencies with the largest share of tourism business in the UK to seek further support for the sector.
