EUR8m boost for online collections projects
The Collections Trust has announced that European Commission investment worth EUR8m (£6.5m) has been secured in order to help museums share their collections online.

Akkeron to lead Plymouth Pavilions scheme

New visitor access tool for English restaurants
National tourist board VisitEngland has announced the launch of a new online tool to assist restaurants and cafés throughout the country cater for visitors with access requirements.

Restored Cutty Sark unveiled by The Queen
The Queen has today (25 April) officially reopened the restored Cutty Sark to the public in Greenwich, London.
The historic clipper was severely damaged by fire in 2007, but has since been fully restored thanks to a £50m redevelopment project that has taken five years to complete.

Consultation begins on Oxford's culture strategy
Oxford City Council has begun a public consultation into its three-year culture strategy.
Outlining the council's proposed priorities for the period between 2012 and 2015, a draft document has been made available on the council's website for the public to take part and comment on.

DCMS to be shut down after Olympics?
The coalition government is considering shutting down the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), according to Labour party deputy leader Harriet Harman.
