STR: 'Strong' tourism demand for Bahrain
New figures published by STR Global have shown a "strong rebound" in Bahrain's hotel industry, despite local unrest that overshadowed last month's Formula One Grand Prix.
The latest data showed occupancy rates in the country more than double during March this year, with RevPAR increasing by 143.1 per cent compared with March 2011.
