Additional £2.2m for Creative Scotland's experiences programme
The Scottish Government and Creative Scotland have announced a further £2.2m of funding to enable an extra 24 projects to receive support through the First in a Lifetime programme.
The scheme - part of the wider Year of Creative Scotland 2012 - aims to create opportunities for people to participate in arts and cultural activities throughout the country.

Sharon Ament appointed new Museum of London director

Merlin completes £12.5m London Eye capsule upgrade programme
Merlin Entertainments has completed a £12.5m upgrade programme on the capsules of its London Eye attraction in London, UK.
The work included removing the capsules - one at a time - and transporting them down the river Thames to a location in Essex, where each was given a makeover and upgrade. Completion was scheduled to coincide with the start of summer 2012.

Imax Corporation reports strong first quarter revenue growth

International entertainment and technology group Imax Corporation has posted first quarter profits of US$55.6m (EUR42.8m, £34.5m) - up 23 per cent on the same period last year.
Total film revenue for the three-month period was US$19.1m (EUR14.7m, £11.8m), which compares with US$11.5m (EUR8.9m, £7.1m) during the first quarter of 2011.

Tourism Ireland upbeat despite drop in Q1 inbound numbers
Tourism Ireland remains upbeat about the industry's prospects for the coming year, despite new figures showing a 1.2 per cent drop in inbound numbers to the country in Q1 2012.
Between January and March this year, Central Statistics Office (CSO) data showed that Ireland welcomed 1.165 million visitors - down from 1.178 million for the same period in 2011. Visits from the UK, however, were up 2 per cent.

British Hospitality Association to host industry summit in June
