Fantawild plans new openings in China and Iran

Marine adventure park and waterpark planned for Desaru, Malaysia
Themed Attractions Malaysia (TAM), the leisure and tourism arm of the state-owned Kazanah Nasional's - is investing RM267m (US$85m, €68m, £54m) in the construction and operation of two theme parks in Desaru, Johor.
One of the attractions will be a marine park with an aqarium, called Ocean Quest, while the other is a traditional water park called Ocean Splash. Both parks are scheduled to open in 2014.

Simon Thurley outlines English Heritage's plans for 2012

Liverpool receives green light for turnaround cruise status
Liverpool City Council (LCC) has welcomed the government's decision to approve plans allowing cruises to start and end voyages in the city, following a year-long consultation.

Creative Scotland announces investment portfolio overhaul
Creative Scotland has announced the results of a review into its investment portfolio, which will see nearly 50 arts organisations lose out on regular funding support from April 2013.
The agency has overhauled its portfolio as a result of changes in the way it receives income, with its share of Lottery revenue to rise from £18m in 2010 to £32.3m in 2014.

Russia-based BIN group in talks with Universal over Moscow theme park
Russia-based property group BIN is rumoured to be in talks with US entertainment giant NBC Universal with the view of building a Universal Studios theme park in Moscow.
According to a number of Russian media outlets, BIN is willing to spend RUB3bn (US$3bn, 2.4bn euro, £1.9bn) on the construction of the attraction at a 22-hectare (220,000sq m) site in the country's capital.
