ACE takes on funding arrangements for Tyne and Wear museums group

Arts Council England unveils two new commissions for work with children
Arts Council England (ACE) has announced the launch of two major new commissions for work with young people - National Youth Dance Company (NYDC) and In Harmony.

Kanye West reveals ambition to open theme park plans

EUR1.8m of funding for Ireland's new west coast tourism route
Irish minister of state for tourism and sport Michael Ring has allocated EUR1.8m (£1.4m) for the first phase of a new tourism route along the west coast - the Wild Atlantic Way.
The scheme will become the country's first long-distance driving route for visitors between Donegal and Cork and is designed to rival similar projects in Australia and South Africa.

Heritage Lottery Fund announces £13.6m boost for sector skills projects
The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has announced additional investment totalling £13.6m for 51 skills projects through its Skills for the Future and Training Bursaries programmes.
Nearly 790 new placements are to be delivered as a result of the funding boost, representing 700 years' worth of paid training opportunities for those looking to enter the heritage sector.
Among the projects set to benefit from the latest investment are the digitising of archives and the conservation of historic gardens, supporting both traditional and contemporary

Merlin to open Legoland Discovery Centre in Canada
Attractions operator Merlin has announced plans to build its first ever attraction in Canada - a CA$12M (US$12m, 9.3m euro, £7.5m) Legoland Discovery Centre.
