Museums Galleries Scotland announces successful funding applicants
Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) has announced that 19 applicants across the country have been successful in securing a share of £250,000 through its main grant fund.
North Lanarkshire Council is among those to receive funding, with a £21,180 award going towards the restoration of a replica Vulcan - the first all iron-hulled boat launched in 1819.

Lincoln Clarke named chief executive of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

ACE opens application process for Designation development fund
Museums are now able to bid for funding from Arts Council England's (ACE) Designation development fund, which focuses on collections of national and international importance.

English Heritage welcomes government's heritage reforms
English Heritage, the national historic environment agency, has welcomed a number of reforms contained with the newly-published Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Bill.
