Arts Council England confirms 12 People's Record funding recipients
Arts Council England (ACE) has announced that 12 projects are to receive funding through the People's Record in order to chart the public response to hosting the 2012 Games.
The initiative was first launched in 2008 and has funded 82 community projects. Five of the latest recipients are new projects, while seven will build on previous work.

Six museums awarded Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund support
Six museums are to further develop their collections after being handed a share of £390,000 from the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund - administered by the Museums Association.
Among the sites to receive funding is Woodhorn Museum and Northumberland Archives in Ashington, which received £63,000 towards a programme of guest curatorships.

HLF announces £3.7m for Hampshire and Isle of Wight projects
A new visitor centre is to be developed at Quarr Abbey on the Isle of Wight after the project was one of three to receive a share of £3.7m from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).
The abbey site near Fishbourne includes three listed structures, including the Grade II-listed remains of a building dating back to 1132. The scheme has received a £2m grant.
