Irish arts minister launches Culture Night 2012 programme
Irish minister for arts, heritage and the Gaeltacht Jimmy Deenihan has launched this year's programme for Culture Night - a nationwide project designed to increase access to the arts. Empire Industries secures US$10m Chinese theme park contract
Empire Industries has announced its Dynamic Attractions unit has been handed a US$10m (EUR8m, £6.3m) contract for two flying theatre experiences at a Chinese theme park. New director and CEO for Indianapolis Museum of Art
Charles L Venable, the current director and chief executive officer of the SpeedArt Museum in Kentucky, US, has been appointed as the new CEO of Indianapolis Museum of Art. The museum has confirmed that Venable will take up the new position on 8 October and will succeed Maxwell L Anderson, who became Dallas Museum of Art director in January. Birmingham welcomes record visitor numbers in continued tourism growth
Birmingham welcomed a record number of visitors last year - up 740,000 to 33.5 million - as the city's tourism economy continues to grow, according to newly-released figures.
