UK experiences 'best year ever' for foreign tourism spend
Spending by overseas visitors to UK in 2012 reached a record-breaking level of £19bn - an increase of more than 4 per cent on 2011. Armour and Cavalry museum to open in Georgia, US
An American museum to house the country’s largest collection of armour and Cavalry objects has undergone a feasibility assessment and is now continuing its fundraising efforts. The $65m (48.28m euro, £41.52m) National Armor and Cavalry Museum is set to open in Fort Benning, Georgia, US, on a 30-acre site and will complement the existing National Infantry Museum. Thirteen per cent increase in visitors to Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi has recorded a 13 per cent increase in visitor numbers in 2012, with a noticeable increase in visitors from Asia and Africa. Despite the recession the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority exceeded its target of 2.3m hotel guests by almost 100,000. Significant restoration work begins at Pompeii

US$1.6bn expansion planned for Universal Studios

Fife secures £2.8m grant for new museum and art gallery
