US civil and human rights museum secures funding
Financing to fund the first phase of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, Georgia, US, has been secured, with construction to start this month. New £15m arts employment scheme announced
A new £15m employment programme aims to diversify England’s arts and culture workforce by providing 6,500 traineeships, apprenticeships and paid internships for people aged 16 to 24. JRA appointed to design exhibition spaces at Cade Museum
The Cade Museum Foundation has appointed Jack Rouse Associates (JRA) to design the exhibition and gallery spaces at the planned Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention (CMCI) in Gainesville, Florida, US. Newcastle council halves its arts funding
Newcastle City Council has voted to halve its funding for art organisations, scrapping £1.2m of core arts grants in favour of a new £600,000 fund.
