Report says NI tourism campaign generates £42m
The 2012 tourism campaign for Northern Ireland has returned almost four times its original cost, says a new report. Government announces 7 per cent cut to DCMS budget
Chancellor George Osborne has announced that grassroots sport, arts and museums will have to undergo funding cuts as the coalition government looks to curb government spending by £11.5bn. £27m Stonehenge project underway with road closure
A £27m (US$41.6m, €31.7m) project, part financed by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), has started with the closure of the road running alongside Stonehenge. Decommissioned HMS Edinburgh could become floating attraction
A decommissioned warship could be making its way back to Edinburgh as a tourist attraction, following a petition by a former crew member of the vessel to save it from the scrapheap. Dubai to get $7.3m Quran theme park
