Darlington to put art centre up for sale
Darlington Council is set to put the town’s former art centre up for sale after efforts to save the property failed. The Arts Centre in Vane Terrace closed in July last year as part of the Council’s Medium Term Financial Plan budget decisions and following lengthy consultation with the arts community and public.

Fife Council give cash boost for culture and heritage

Museum of Flight upgrades theatre facilities

Winehouse exhibition opens at Jewish Museum
An exhibition on the life of singer Amy Winehouse has opened close by to the street where she died. The Jewish Museum in Camden Town, London, has worked alongside the singer’s family to gather her clothes, record and photograph collection for the exhibition. Historic Scotland invests £1m in Iona Abbey
Historic Scotland has completed a £1m redevelopment project to enhance the visitor experience at Iona Abbey on the island of Iona. Dubai crocodile park set to open in 2015
The Dubai Municipality has agreed an AED10m (£1.78m, US$2.72m, €2.08m) deal with an entertainment group to open a crocodile theme park - the first of its kind in the Middle East.
