English Heritage urges government investment
English Heritage has warned that over 1,500 of the country's listed buildings and monuments have fallen into its 'at-risk' category. Chair Sir Neil Cossons said that almost half of them could be brought back into viable economic use if funding could be found. Science Mall closes after failing to obtain licence

Attractions industry shaken by theme park death
Lightwater Valley Theme Park closed yesterday in the wake of a tragic accident which resulted in the death of a 20-year-old woman and injuries to three men.
