Eden meets Manhattan for eco-Dome at Greenwich
The creator of the Eden Project, Tim Smit, has joined forces with the architects of the London Eye to propose an eco-friendly development on the Greenwich Peninsula. Industry school receives top marks
Thames Valley University's school of Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure has finished its academic year on a high by receiving top marks from the government's watchdog. Britain's first new pier in 50 years opened in Suffolk
The first pier to be built on the British coastline in nearly 50 years was declared open yesterday by the Duke of Gloucester. Southwold Pier in Suffolk was originally built 101 years ago but after two world-wars and years of damaged caused by storms and high tides, the pier had been reduced to a stump. Mardi Gras boosts gay tourism

High cost of children's leisure time
The cost of a child's leisure time during the school summer holidays amounts to more than £400, according to research by Abbey National. Adventure park in Saudi Arabia

Grant for skills exchange

Hollywood glamour at Imperial War Museum

Dockyard salutes navy attraction
Action Stations, the £16m modern Royal Navy experience, has now joined the existing Portsmouth Historic Dockyard fleet, comprising the Mary Rose, HMS Victory and the Royal Naval Museum, HMS Warrior 1860, the dockyard Apprentice Exhibition and Warships by Water harbour tours.
