Tower of London receives renovation grant
The Tower of London has received a £5.4m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to allow renovation of the surrounding area.

Getty's £10m Gallery gift
The National Gallery has received a £10m donation in the name of billionaire philanthropist Sir Paul Getty, through his brother Gordon and son Mark.

The donation follows the £50m already donated by Getty in 1985. Director, Neil MacGregor, says the money will go towards the gallery's east wing redevelopment, including a new frontage, reception area, atrium, café and shop.

Art Fund grant for V&A reliquary
The Victoria & Albert Museum has benefited from a £300,000 Art Fund grant towards the purchase of a rare statue from a private collection at Luton Hoo. Visitors 'vote with their feet' at Glasgow Science Centre
Glasgow's £75m Science Centre on the banks of the River Clyde was officially opened by the Queen last week, following a weekend of record admissions.
