Alternative breaks in eco-cabins
The Centre for Alternative Technology in Snowdonia is promoting family holidays in its eco-cabins and will be featured on the BBC's Holiday programme, in Spring 2002. London Zoo keeper killed by elephant
A senior keeper was crushed to death at London Zoo on 20 October. The zoo was closed the following day as a mark of respect. The keeper, Jim Robson, 40, had worked at the zoo for 26 years, 16 of them with elephants. National Trust acquires a slum
The National Trust is backing a scheme to redevelop an 18th century slum into a new visitor attraction for Birmingham. RSC Plans Meet Opposition
