New gyro-swing ride at Drayton Manor
Staffordshire theme park Drayton Manor has a new ride as part of a £2.5m investment programme for the 2002 season. The Maelstrom, an invention of Ride Trade of Liechtenstein, seats 32 riders facing outwards on a circular gondola. Bringing space travel to life
Liverpool is to get a new interactive £7m visitor attraction. BTA lists online entry criteria
The British Tourist Authority (BTA) is highlighting 100 commercial sites where users can book online, but insists entries must meet BTA's 'strict' criteria for inclusion. Plan for tree-rich city areas.
A wave of woodland planting is planned across towns and cities in England after the National Urban Forestry Unit (NUFU) won grants totalling almost £1m. Stratford's Theatre Royal re-opens
