La Scala refurbishment
Milan's La Scala opera house will close this month is to undergo a major three-year, £35m refurbishment. After more than 200 years at the 1,800-seat city centre opera house, built towards the end of the 18th century, the company will move to a newly-built theatre, the 2,400-seat Teatro degli Arcimboldi in the Milan suburbs while the renovations take place. Knighthood for Eden Project architect
Nicholas Grimshaw, who designed Cornwall's botanical garden the Eden Project, has been awarded a knighthood. Museum exhibits for the visually impaired
Visually impaired visitors will soon be able to touch and feel exhibits at The Imperial War Museum's Holocaust Exhibition.
