Florida discount
Florida's theme parks and hotels are offering savings in an attempt to win back visitors who have been staying away since September 11.

Kew Palace re-opening delayed
Kew Palace, closed for repairs by the Historic Royal Palaces charitable trust (HRP) in 1996, will no longer re-open in 2004 as originally planned.

Superbreak reports strong recovery
Superbreak Mini-Holidays has reported a strong recovery since the effects of rail disasters, the foot and mouth crisis and the 11 September terrorist attacks. The company has recorded a 24 per cent increase in bookings last year compared with 2000.

Record visits for IAAPA kids programme
A record number of amusement parks and attractions opened their gates to terminally ill children during 2001 under the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) World Passport for Kids programme.

La Scala refurbishment
Milan's La Scala opera house will close this month is to undergo a major three-year, £35m refurbishment.

Museum exhibits for the visually impaired
