Budget is good news for Australian tourism industry
The Australian government has promised $45 million in extra funding over the next five years to its international, domestic and regional tourism markets. Sydney Aquarium to open animal park
The Sydney Aquarium in Darling Harbour has announced plans to open 'Australia's Animal World', a park of equivalent size to the aquarium. The park will have 44 exhibits including a butterfly house and aviary. As well as indigenous animals like kangaroos, koalas and wombats, the park will also be home to insects and reptiles. Queen's Gallery reopens after £20m redevelopment
The Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace has reopened after a £20m redevelopment and expansion. John Simpson and Partners was appointed architect in 1998 after a limited competition, and given the brief of creating a gallery with 'presence and identity' and a 'bold new entrance'. Jubilee Draw raises funds to restore Queen's carriage

Parkdean Places 25m shares
Holiday park operator Parkdean has returned to the stock market with a placing of 25.5m New Ordinary Shares designed to raise £28.8m. ETC shapes up for shakeup
The government has announced a radical change for the English Tourism Council (ETC), as part of plans to reform the marketing of England to the domestic market.
