Euro Amusement Show 2003 expands

Museums study beauty

Fine wines and fun in Saxony

Natural History Museum opens its vaults
London's Natural History Museum has opened its £35m Darwin Centre, putting its 22m zoology specimens - the Spirit Collection - and research building on public view for the first time. New look for Asian Civilisation Museum
The Asian Civilisation Museum (ACM) in Singapore has moved to new premises and will deliver a larger more diverse collection when it reopens in February 2003. Tower Power
Tower Bridge is set to be the star attraction at a theme park in Austria. It is to be re-created as a 1:25 model for Minimundus theme world in Klagenfurt. Model makers, led by Johann Markun, have begun studying the Tower's 114-year-old blueprints. The replica, measuring eight metres long, three metres high and two metres wide, will cost more than £125,000 to construct.

Revised pier plans for Brighton
St Modwen Properties and West Pier Trust have submitted revised plans to Brighton & Hove City Council for the restoration of Brighton West Pier following extensive public consultation. Mayor launches blueprint for London's tourism
The mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, has announced a three-year plan to 'bring new leadership, more investment and a new structure to London's tourism industry.' Livingstone said the tourism industry had suffered for too long from a lack of strategic direction: 'The tourism industry is of immense value to the London economy, and I intend this new plan, 'Visit London', to maximise those benefits for the capital.'
