Funding for DanceCity
Newcastle's DanceCity, the national dance agency for the north of England, has been awarded almost £1.3m from the Arts Council of England for a purpose-built centre.

Shildon Village Railway steams ahead to 2004 launch
Construction of the Shildon Railway Village is due to get underway in New Year, after the project secured final capital funding last month.

American travel industry calls for nationwide marketing body
The Travel Industry Association of America is calling for a national tourism marketing organisation for the United States - based on the public-private partnership system in operation in Florida: FLA USA Visit Florida.

Kennedy Space Centre launches UK mission
Kennedy Space Centre Visitor Complex has developed a set of travel packages specifically for the UK market.

The 'Admission Badge' allows visitors access to tour restricted areas, she space shuttle launch pads, walk beneath a Saturn V rocket and relive the landing on the moon.

Coventry attractions get facelifts for 2003
The Museum of British Road Transport is to have a new frontage in a £21m revamp of three of Coventry's biggest attractions.

BTA backs call for more runways
